1. Income Generating Activities (IGA)

For socio economic development, self employment is a major and which considered as the tool of poverty alleviation for marginalized groups and community, who has been suffering from various deprivations. People, who suffer from low income position, can be brought under the umbrella of credit facilities through micro credit program and they tend to generate their income on their acquired skills and credit they get for income generation. People are organized in various groups; they can take initiatives to generate income from the skills they acquired from skill and capacity building training.BUS after anglicizing the position of these marginalized persons especially poor and disadvantaged women, take initiatives to support them financially for suitable & viable income to reduce their poverty.  In the reporting period BUS allocated credit support for professional sustainable income generation for women members. Most of they are women who are diligent and insured to upgrade their poor condition. In the micro credit program support enable poor members to uplift their economical as well as their food and nutrition condition. In order to reach this objectives BUS provides credit supports to the group members so that they can operate various small income generation activities to increase food production. It is anticipated that the members will produce more food by the way of utilizing their meager land homesteads, consume it for their own nutrition supply and sell part of  it in the local market to generate income of their own. Towards this end, we provide them credit support from our revolving fund. BUS has been monitoring closely of the income generating activities and holds records on the ups and downs and provides proper follow up. The production derived from the income generating activities is properly recorded.
